38 Greene Produces 2nd Round Radio For NAB

New York, NY (PRWEB) May 12, 2005

The National Association of Broadcasters, DeVito/Verdi and 38 Greene Studios, a New York City-based recording studio handling mix to picture, radio advertising and original music, continue to work together on NAB?s star-studded radio campaign featuring world-renown musical artists. This time around the work features punk-band Sum 41 and new artist Anna Nalick.

Sponsored by the NAB, the multiple-spot radio campaign includes big-name recording artists, as well as up-and-comers, praising the role radio played in building their careers. Previous featured artists include LeAnn Rimes, Alicia Keys, 3 Doors Down, John Legend, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Nelly, Rob Thomas, Ashanti and LeeAnn Womak.

38 Greene engineers Adam Charity, Casey Chester and Corey Bauman?s collaborative efforts resulted in two impressively sound-designed and mixed radio spots. In addition, Sum 41?s :30 spot features original music composed by Charity and Chester.

Charity comments, ?We wanted the music to be great. Joe [Schrack of DeVito/Verdi] asked us to do a little tribute to the sounds of Judas Priest and Iron Maiden to be played behind Sum 41?s testimonials, so we dug deep into heavy metal?s roots to compose the music. Casey [Chester] recorded the drum piece by himself, handed me the track and then I added my own guitar sounds. It was a good group effort.?

The second spot features rising star Anna Nalick, whose hits are played on MTV and VH1. The :60 spot focuses on the idea that ?radio has always supported up and coming artists, connecting you with new music.? Nalick recorded her dialogue at 38 Greene while Bauman connected her to her third grade teacher via ISDN. The spot features Nalick inviting her teacher to a taping of the Tonight Show, on which she is to appear as musical guest. The announcer concludes ?Radio. You hear it here first?.????????

Adam Charity, Casey Chester and Corey Bauman handled all production, sound design and original composition for 38 Greene Studios; Barbara Goldman was the Producer and Joe Schrack was the writer for DeVito/Verdi.????
