Using TLP280-4 with STM32F1xx MCU
This is a continuation of my previous question.
Olin Lathrop explicitly explained me the previous question, but also set thinking on the exact way of connection the optocoupler to a MCU input.
I guess that the following shematic would be good:

Also I know about a possibility to set input's internal pullup mode. As I understand, I can just connect Q1's collector directly to input pin of MCU, without R1 and external supply node. Am I right?
Olin told a lot about Q1 current transfer rate. It seems, if I will use the schematic above (with external pullup resistor), then I think there couldn't happen overvoltage. Am I right?
